Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Prompt to Prod is a game that teaches people to build software with AI. This policy explains what the game stores, where, and how to delete it. We collect as little as possible: no ads, no advertising IDs, usage statistics only if you say yes, and we never sell data.
Without an account
You can play without signing in. Your progress, profile name, avatar or photo and settings are stored only on your phone. The game sends nothing about you anywhere (except crash reports and, if you allow them, usage statistics; see below). AI missions run in practice mode, on the phone.
With an account
- Sign-in (Google or email and password) uses Firebase Authentication by Google. It stores your email address, your name from Google if you use Google sign-in, and a user ID.
- Cloud save keeps your progress safe across phones in Google Cloud Firestore (Europe). It contains your game progress, the profile name and short "about" text you entered, your avatar choice and, if you added one, your profile photo (a small copy). Only you can read your save.
Weekly league
When you are signed in, other signed-in players in your league see your avatar color, this week's XP and your game name, which you choose yourself and which no other player can have. They never see your real name, e-mail or photo. A game name that breaks the rules can be reported and removed. These entries are deleted three weeks later, and when you delete your account.
Purchases
The first two chapters are free. The Full Game is sold once through Google Play or Apple's App Store. The store processes the payment: we never see your card details. The record of which product you bought can be kept on your phone and with your account in the cloud save. Refunds and restoring a purchase follow the store's rules. Deleting your account does not cancel a store purchase; for a refund, contact the store.
Live AI
When you are signed in, some missions send the text you write to a real AI model. The text goes to our server (Cloudflare Workers), then to OpenRouter, which passes it to the model. We ask OpenRouter to use only providers that do not store or train on it. Our server does not keep what you write. To stop abuse and keep costs fair, it counts how many AI requests your account makes each day; these counters are deleted after about one day. Live AI messages are limited: without the Full Game you get 30 in total; the Full Game includes 600 in total. The game counts the messages you have used as part of your progress, on your phone and, when you are signed in, in your cloud save. Practice mode is always free and has no limit.
Reporting an AI answer
If an AI answer is offensive, harmful or wrong, you can report it in the game. A report contains the text you wrote, the AI answer, the reason you picked and your user ID, so we can review it. Reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Crash reports
If the game crashes, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics by Google: what went wrong in the code, the game version, the phone model and Android version, and a random installation ID. It contains no names, messages or game text. We use it only to fix bugs; reports are kept for 90 days.
Usage statistics (only if you agree)
After you set up your career, the game asks whether you agree to anonymous usage statistics. Until you say yes, nothing is collected. If you agree, the game sends events to Google Analytics for Firebase: which missions you start, finish or leave, your stars, how long a mission took, where you asked for a hint, and promotions. Google adds a random app-instance ID, the game version, the phone model and an approximate region based on your network. Events never include your name, email, what you write or what the AI answers, are not linked to your account, and are not used for ads (advertising IDs and ad personalization are switched off). We use them only to see where the game is too hard or too slow. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data; turning it off also deletes the data stored on your phone for it. Collected data is kept for 14 months.
Permissions
The game asks for access to your photos only when you choose a profile picture, and uses only the one photo you pick. If you turn on the daily reminder, it asks to show notifications; the reminder is scheduled on your phone and sends nothing anywhere.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Deleting your data
In the game: Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account and your cloud save immediately, and clears the progress on this phone. Uninstalling the game deletes everything stored on the phone. You can also ask us to delete your account: see how to delete your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or KVKK in Türkiye), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
